Lt. Maate Magwara, the Kasese Deputy Resident District Commissioner in Charge of Bukonzo County, issued this warning, expressing concern that some schools tend to establish illegal boarding facilities during examination periods, putting the lives of learners at risk.

This concern arises from a recent incident where 38 students from Mpondwe Lhubiriha Secondary School were attacked by suspected ADF rebels. In response, Lt. Magwara urged parents not to allow their children to board in schools that are not authorized by the Ministry of Education and Sports.

In a show of support and encouragement for the candidates, Rev. Minus Thembo, Parish Vicar for St. Peters C.O.U in Kasese Municipality, urged them not to fear, but to have hope and trust in God as they approach their final P.L.E exams scheduled for next week.

During a dedication prayer for Primary Seven candidates of Cranes Model Nursery and Primary School in Nyamwamba Division-Kasese Municipality, a religious leader reminded the candidates that if God had helped others pass from this school, the same God is still there to guide them to victory.

Mr. Moris Bwambale, the Head Teacher of Cranes Model Nursery and Primary School, emphasized the importance of candidates continuing to show respect to their parents and elders, maintaining good behavior, and engaging in activities that will benefit them in the future.

Primary Seven candidates, including Bulenge Gilbert and Biirah Shamim, expressed their gratitude to their teachers for the knowledge they have imparted. They mentioned that they had initially been filled with fear, but the inspirational messages from the event have provided them with comfort and confidence as they await their victory.

The Primary Seven candidates are set to begin their final P.L.E exams today on the 3rd of November, with a briefing. The paper examinations will take place on the 6th and 7th of this month. The media fraternity extends their best wishes for success to these candidates.
