Bwera Police Division is currently detaining three residents on allegations of carrying out abortion

Controversial Abortion Case Sparks Debate on Moral Values and Cultural Norms in Kasese District

Bwera Police Division is currently detaining three residents of Nyakiyumbu Sub County in Bukonzo West, Kasese District, on allegations of carrying out an abortion on a seven-month-old fetus.

According to reports from the area, Kapiripiri Moses, the LC I chairperson for Kyabisoro II, has stated that Kibaba Jeneva collaborated with Sabuni Julius Kule, a medical doctor and the director of Alleleyuya Health Center located at Musyenene Trading Center in Nyakiyumbu Sub County, to terminate a seven-month-old pregnancy.

Kapiripiri disclosed that this disturbing incident occurred on a Saturday night when the baby was tragically killed after the abortion.

Furthermore, Kapiripiri revealed that Kibaba Jeneva, a married woman, had cheated on her husband, who resides in Kampala, and engaged in a relationship with a man identified as Kambale, a salon operator at Kalongoyire Trading Center in the same sub-county.

Mr. Kapiripiri expressed regret over the incident and emphasized that such abortions are not only against cultural norms but also contradict biblical principles.

He urged both married women and young girls to abstain from fornication, as it not only jeopardizes their lives but can also lead to such tragic events.

Additional details on this story will be provided in our upcoming news bulletins.
